The exhibition of works by Dariusz Kaca presents a cross-section of twenty years of the artist’s creative practice, situated between art, cosmology, and science. The exhibition revolves around the idea of time — understood not as a linear chronology, but as a process embedded within the very structure of the artwork and the method of its creation.
Kaca’s artistic practice is based on precision, rhythm, and the repetition of gestures. The artist creates his own tools and then develops matrices and prints through a long and meticulous process, constructing multilayered compositions inspired by astronomy, particle physics, and abstract maps of energy. His characteristic reduction of color and focus on structure transform the works into a meditation on matter, space, and time.
Dariusz Kaca is regarded as one of the leading contemporary Polish printmakers. He has received numerous national and international awards, including the “Gloria Artis” Medal for Merit to Culture and the Grand Prix at the 3rd Print Biennale India 2026. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Woodcut and Artists’ Book Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
